Welcome to the City of Dawson Community Garden!
The City of Dawson Community Garden was established in 2009 and was born from the need to help develop the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in’s (TH) ‘Tr’inke Zho’ daycare. To aid in this endeavour, the City of Dawson dedicated 3 city lots to help the TH government meet the greenspace requirements necessary to construct. This partnership would not only bring a new and much-needed daycare to life but the Community Garden itself!
Located in the North end of town at 1355 Third Avenue (between Duke and Albert Street); the City of Dawson Community Garden is home to 24 garden plots, a 192 square foot greenhouse, 2 playgrounds, a beautiful arbour with seating and much more!

How to Get Involved
- Sign-up to Grow: Each spring we rent out 24 garden plots, sign-up for the City of Dawson newsletter to stay in the know.
- Attend Events: From our annual ‘Seed & Plant Swaps’ to ‘Gnome Painting’ parties, there’s always something exciting happening.
- Volunteer: Pitch in during community workdays or share your gardening expertise with others.
